If you’re more of a lager lover than an ale appreciator, there’s plenty of choice for you too, with Kronenberg, Amstel, Peroni, Birra Moretti, Fosters and Camden Pale Ale all available. We also have Guinness, Stowford Press draught cider, a selection of bottled fruit ciders and a wonderful wine list - including bottles of Prosecco for those special occasions.
Our drinks are only part of the story though - The Eastgate is also one of the great places to eat in Chichester. It's wise to work up an appetite before heading here, as generous portions of wholesome, hearty pub food are our speciality!
Alongside a great range of bar snacks, you can tuck into delicious homemade dishes like tasty fish & chips, Cottage Pie and filling soups - all crafted from the finest, freshest seasonal ingredients (locally sourced where possible).

The Eastgate, in Chichester, can be found on The Hornet, next to Goodrowes (the hardware store) and a public alley (Whyke Lane). We are just a few steps away from the site of the lively local market.
The local market is held on Wednesdays & Saturdays until 2pm and car boot on Sunday, this represents a great way to spend a morning. It’s just a minute’s walk from the pub. Chichester Cathedral is another top attraction, just five minutes’ walk, while Chichester Festival Theatre is a 15 minutes away at the top of North Street.
